Details

Softpots are basically very thin linear potentiometers.  When touched by a finger or wiper, a resistive divider is formed which allows the position to be read as a voltage on the middle pin.  They have a reliability of over 1M swipes, and come with an adhesive backing for easy installation.  The end pins are spaced a bread-board friendly 1/10inch apart.
