Description
The longer lead is the positive one. 30mA forward current, peak 120mA, forward voltage 2.6V.
Usually, you’ll need to place a resistor in series with the LED. To do that, subtract the LED voltage drop (2.6) from the power voltage, and then pick a resistor that will yield the rated LED current (30mA) when the remaining voltage is applied to it. For example, if your supply voltage is 5V, then you need a resistor = 2.4V / .03mA = 80 Ohms (or larger).
