Description

About: Aluminum electrolytic capacitors fit a lot of capacitance in a small space, but are usually not very precise, and leak some charge over time. This particular one will lose 4uA (that’s micro) over a minute around room temperature. Also, they have higher internal resistance than ceramic disc or tantalum capacitors, so they shouldn’t be used as a noise shunt.

Installation: Electrolytic capacitors are polarized, which means they will fail if installed backwards (maybe even blow up). The side is marked with a stripe and arrows pointing to the negative lead. The longer lead is positive, also.
